Course Title:
Introduction to Emotiwriting
Course Overview
We are more inclined to listen, speak, and read than to write in our daily activities. We sometimes overlook writing in favor of other skills, particularly in this technological age, when most digital natives prefer to send audio communications over texts (SMS).
A random interview with students and teachers revealed that there is also a dearth of support for students to improve their writing skills. Most English courses require students to write short essays. Writing is also included in standardized assessments such as the IELTS.
As a result, writing, like grammar, listening, reading, writing, and vocabulary, requires equal attention in the classroom. Writing can be challenging, tedious, and infuriating. In this course, we will venture into an alternate strategy to encourage digital natives to write in a fun, creative, and productive way.
This course is designed for writing teachers in primary, secondary, and college.
