Course Overview
This advanced course covers the broadest topics of English language teaching while also providing solid theoretical foundations and significant practical skills. You will practice teaching languages at various levels and in a variety of cultural and institutional settings. It will be delivered via the course management system, video conferencing with tutor and guest experts in the field and online classroom observation.
The course is for English teachers who want to adapt their teaching methods, student expectations, teaching resources, and classroom activities to meet their students’ need. This course will help you enhance your profile as a language teacher and expand your network.
 
Course Objectives/Learning Outcome
At the end of the course, you will be able to:
-explain concepts, principles, and philosophies of teaching English to non-native English speakers.
-apply suitable teaching methods and techniques in teaching different skills in English.
-create instructional materials and test language skills using several ways.
-create synopsis of research findings in ELT and how they might be used in the classroom.
-recognize world Englishes and its influence in English language development.
-adjust and adapt learning instructions to meet students’ individual needs
-create/compile teaching materials to various levels of learners (A1 – C2 levels)
-write and publish an article on ELT

Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a Certificate of Attendance and Completion. Learners may take some additional courses with a partner university to gain a degree.
