For Educators & Teaching

* Resource Sharing: Establish a digital repository of localized lesson plans, multimedia tools, and assessment frameworks by the end of the year.

* Professional Development: Host quarterly webinars and workshops focusing on modern language-teaching technologies and immersive pedagogical practices.

* Curriculum Standards: Collaborate on developing a standardized proficiency framework tailored for non-native and heritage Filipino learners.


For Learners & Engagement

* Interactive Learning: Launch a monthly global conversation café ("Kwentuhan") to give international students structured opportunities to practice with native speakers and teachers.

* Mentorship Pathways: Pair advanced learners or new educators with seasoned mentors to guide them in their language acquisition or teaching journeys.

* Research & Innovation: Publish an annual or biennial digital journal highlighting case studies, action research, and best practices in global Filipino language education.

✨ About the Activity

This photojournalism initiative promotes internationalization by encouraging students to document local culture, community experiences, environmental concerns, and social issues. Through the lens, participants will connect local stories with global perspectives, fostering deeper understanding of cultural diversity and shared global concerns.


🎯 Objectives

By joining, participants will:

Document local events, traditions, people, and issues through photojournalism.


Recognize similarities and differences between local and international cultures.


Develop visual storytelling skills for diverse audiences.


Promote culture, heritage, and community stories globally.


Practice cultural sensitivity and ethical photography.


Connect local experiences to global issues such as sustainability, education, environment, and social responsibility.


Create a photojournalism portfolio for international or multicultural platforms.

📖 Activity Highlights

International Photojournalism Exhibit: Students’ works displayed with English captions and brief descriptions for accessibility to international audiences.

Hands-on Documentation: Individual or group projects capturing real-life events, activities, or issues in the community.


Storytelling Output: A coherent visual story with captions and narratives, evaluated through a rubric emphasizing relevance, creativity, and ethical practice.


📌 Requirements

Submit 5 original photographs per student/group.

Provide a title, captions, and short narrative for the photo story.

Include photographer’s name and date taken.
